CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE SNOOKER RANKING EVENT 2025 RETURNS THIS SUMMER

News June 24th, 2025

The 2025 Championship League Snooker Ranking Event returns from 30 June to 23 July at the Mattioli Arena, Leicester, launching the new World Snooker Tour season in style. All 128 tour card holders will once again have the chance to compete in the season’s opening ranking event, kicking off another thrilling year of top-tier snooker.

Now entering its sixth edition as a ranking event, the Championship League continues its tradition of fast-paced, high-stakes group-stage drama, offering fans non-stop action throughout the summer. Last year, Ali Carter captured his first-ever Championship League Snooker title with a commanding 3-1 win over Jackson Page in the final, securing the sixth ranking title of his career.

The tournament takes place over three stages, beginning on Monday 30 June. Winners’ Week will run from Monday 18 July, concluding with Finals Day on Thursday 23 July. The eventual champion will pocket £20,000 and earn a coveted place in the 2025 Champion of Champions, set for 10–16 November, and now to be held in the Mattioli Arena for the first time.

Joining The Captain are some of snooker’s biggest names, including reigning Masters champion Shaun Murphy, six-time World Championship finalist Jimmy White, 2024 Wuhan Open and German Open runner-up Si Jiahui, and 2024 World Championship runner-up Jak Jones—all set to feature in the early stages. The full draw will be confirmed in the coming week, ahead of the opening day on Monday, 30 June.
