News June 10th, 2026

The 2026 BetVictor Championship League Snooker Ranking Event returns from 22 June to 15 July at the Mattioli Arena, Leicester, launching the new World Snooker Tour season in style. All 128 tour card holders will once again have the chance to compete in the season’s opening ranking event, kicking off another thrilling year of top-tier snooker.

Now entering its seventh edition as a ranking event, the Championship League continues its tradition of fast-paced, high-stakes group-stage drama, offering fans non-stop action throughout the summer. Last year, Stephen Maguire captured his first Championship League Snooker title with a commanding 3-1 victory over Joe O’Connor in the final, securing the seventh ranking title of his career.

The tournament takes place over three stages, beginning on Monday 22 June. Stage Two will run from 10-14 July, before Stage Three and Finals Day take place on 15 July. The eventual champion will pocket £20,000 and earn a coveted place in the 2026 Champion of Champions, set for 9-15 November at the Mattioli Arena.

Joining defending champion Maguire are some of snooker’s biggest names, including former World Champions Kyren Wilson, Zhao Xintong and Stuart Bingham, all set to feature in the opening stages. The full draw will be confirmed in the coming weeks ahead of the opening day on Monday 22 June.
