Tom Ford leads Group 3 of BetVictor Championship League Snooker after winning all three of his matches on the first of two days of group play at Morningside Arena, Leicester.
The World No. 22 is motoring towards the group play-offs after 3-0 victories over Xiao Guodong and Greame Dott and a 3-1 success against Ben Woollaston to gain the overnight advantage in the group.
All players have at least one win on the board, leaving it all to play for on day two, with live coverage on a host of betting websites and on zhibo.tv, one of the biggest sports streaming platforms in China.
Dott and Woollaston have both played four of their six group games and have two wins apiece, while Gary Wilson has two wins from three. Kyren Wilson, Matthew Selt and Guodong all have one win although Wilson has played four matches while the other two players have played three.
Each of the seven players faces each other once in the round-robin group stage, after which the top four players in the league table progress to Tuesday evening’s play-offs.
The eventual group champion advances to March’s Winners’ Group with the remaining players who finished in the top five during the league phase continuing to group three later this month, where three new players join the tournament. The bottom two players in each group phase are eliminated. All matches are best of five.
BetVictor Championship League Snooker is a venture between Matchroom Sport and Perform where 25 of the game’s elite players compete for their share of a total prize pot of up to £205,000. RASSON BILLIARDS provide the official tables of the tournament.
Group Three continues at 11am on Thursday. Live scoring can be found at www.worldsnooker.com. Group fixtures and results can be found at https://championshipleaguesnooker.co.uk/
