Judd Trump remained unbeaten to sit at the top of the winners’ group heading into the final day of the BetVictor Championship League Snooker in Leicester.
The Ace in the Pack started his campaign with an excellent 3-1 break over group seven winner Xiao Guodong, breaks of 49, 53, and 62 enough to secure his first win of the group.
The Masters champion then faced off against Kyren Wilson, a player who has previously won both iterations of Championship League Snooker. Trump however, once again a 3-1 winner with breaks of 46, 108, and 83 over the Warrior.
Trump took on Jack Lisowski in his final match of the day, and completed his third and final 3-1 victory to remain as the only unbeaten player in winners’ group, dropping just three frames all day in the process.
Winners’ group moves into the closing stages tomorrow with it all to play for, Robertson, Higgins, and Wilson all on two points. With Bingham, Xiao, and Lisowski all on one point. Despite a tough day at the office, Lisowski is in prime position for the £1,000 group high break after knocking in a 142 clearance in his 3-1 victory against Xiao.

The tournament carries a prize fund of £205,000 with players earning £100 per frame won with significant bonuses for their final group position and increased prize money in the Winners’ Group. A place in the 2023 Champion of Champions is also on the line with each group featuring seven players with matches being held over two days.
